Does your Marketing strategy include Short Form Video?
Over 4 billion video views happen on Facebook every day.
Last year, in an article for Fast Company, Mark Zuckerberg said, “soon the majority of content we consume will be video.”
And more recently, for CNBC, he described video as a ‘Mega Trend’, like mobile.
Bearing this in mind, if you’re not producing video as part of your social media strategy, chances are you’re about to get left behind, unless you start now.
And there’s good reason to use video.
Not only is it, as Zuckerberg states, soon to become the number one consumed content, video also achieves higher engagement rates than other content.
Facebook is actively pushing its users towards video and rewarding those that use it with higher reach rates. In other words, video content will get seen by more people typically.
In my own personal experience, I see video content out-performing any other media.
Business benefits of using video
The case for using video as part of your business strategy is strong. We’ve mentioned video performs better, but what does that mean and how does it help?
Better performing content means it gets seen by more people, more people engage with it (like, comment, share)…. This is great for brand awareness.
How do you measure the success of your social media posts?
By your page insights, right? How many people did it reach, how many impressions, how many engagements, how many new page likes, and so on. If you’re anything like me, you’ll be obsessed with analysing what worked best and how to replicate or make better. Therefore, if video achieves the best results, why would you not use it?
Being visible is just as important online, as offline. Most businesses need visibility to survive. Be more visible with video.
